Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori Lauded for Infrastructure Development Drive

The political leadership and stakeholders of Bomadi Local Government Area have poured glowing tributes on Sheriff Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructure development, following the successful commissioning of the 31 kilometre Ohoror Bomadi road.

At a well attended gathering in Kpakiama, the country home of the Executive Chairman of Bomadi LGA, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, the political class collectively hailed the governor as a transformational leader whose developmental strides have brought pride and renewed hope to the Ijaw nation.

The newly inaugurated road, they noted, stands as a landmark achievement that will significantly enhance connectivity, open up riverine communities, and stimulate economic growth across Delta State.

Speaking on behalf of the political hierarchy, Andaye emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has demonstrated an uncommon dedication to equitable development, ensuring that even historically underserved areas like Bomadi receive critical infrastructure.

He described the road project as not just a physical development but a symbol of inclusion, unity, and progress for the Ijaw people.

The chairman further praised Emomotimi Guwor for his steadfast support of the governor’s agenda, noting that the synergy between the executive and legislative arms has been instrumental in delivering impactful projects across the state.

According to him, such collaboration has strengthened governance and accelerated development in Delta communities.

In the same vein, Andaye acknowledged the presence of Solomon Arenyeka and other political stakeholders, describing their participation as a demonstration of unity and shared commitment to the growth of the state beyond party lines.

He commended the spirit of cooperation displayed during the event, which he said reflects the collective desire to move Delta State forward.

Reinforcing his appreciation, Andaye highlighted the contributions of prominent leaders including James Manager and Nicholas Mutu whose consistent support has bolstered development efforts in the region.

He also recognized other government officials and appointees for their roles in ensuring the success of the commissioning ceremony.

The event, which attracted a large turnout of dignitaries, community leaders, women groups, youths, and non indigenes, was described as a celebration of purposeful governance under Governor Oborevwori.

Attendees praised the administration for prioritizing projects that directly impact the lives of the people.

Concluding his remarks, Andaye assured residents that the local government political class remains fully aligned with the governor’s vision and will continue to support initiatives that promote development, unity, and prosperity.

He reiterated that Governor Oborevwori’s achievements have set a new benchmark for leadership in Delta State, earning him widespread admiration and reaffirming his legacy as a champion of the people.

Stakeholders maintained that the project reflects a broader development agenda focused on inclusiveness, accessibility, and sustainable growth across riverine communities. They expressed confidence that ongoing investments in roads, infrastructure, and social services under the current administration will continue to uplift livelihoods, strengthen economic activities, and further consolidate the governor’s reputation as a responsive and people centered leader for future generations.
