APC lists names of disqualified House Of Reps aspirants

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has published the names of House of Representatives hopefuls who were not approved to take part in the party’s National Assembly primaries for the 2027 general elections.

The list, made public on Saturday, includes candidates from Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers states.

According to the party, its committees conducted the screening in accordance with the approved rules and procedures for the primaries.

In Ondo State, the decision affected several candidates. These include Adefisoye Tajudeen from Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Olusegun Victor Ategbole and Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo from Akoko South-East/South-West, and Arowole Ayodeji Samuel from Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.

Other names from Ondo on the list are Morufu Tosin Ibrahim, Oseni Oyeniyi, and Olaleye John Adedipe, all representing Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.

In Bauchi State, Bashir Ibrahim Bello from Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency was also among those not cleared by the party.

The APC also disqualified Idu Igariwe from Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State, as well as Sanni Salau Ogembe from Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in Kogi State.

In Rivers State, those affected are retired Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara from Port Harcourt Federal Constituency, Anderson Allison Igbiki from Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency, Awaji Imombek Abirite from Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency, and Boma Goodhead from Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.

The ruling party did not give reasons why these candidates did not pass the screening process.
