Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and Retired Major General Mohammed Buba Marwa have been appointed as the joint chairmen of the Adamawa State Campaign Council for the All Progressives Congress. Fintiri assumes the role of chairman as the state leader of the political party, while Marwa, who serves as the chief executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, takes on the position of co-chairman.
The leadership structure of the newly formed campaign council was made public through a statement released on Sunday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou. According to the announcement, the governor granted approval for the comprehensive composition of the council to manage the political strategy and outreach for the party across the state.
Additional key leadership figures have been designated to support the co-chairmen in their duties. The Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, has been assigned as the Deputy Chairman I, and the APC governorship candidate for the state, Ahmed Galadima Aminu, will serve as the Deputy Chairman II.
The administrative operations of the campaign will be steered by Mr. Titus Solomon, who was appointed as the Director General of the Campaign Council. He will work alongside Peter Kevin, who has been designated to serve as the Campaign Director.
The statement further noted that the overarching council incorporates a wide array of seasoned party stalwarts, key stakeholders, as well as youth and women leaders representing all twenty-one local government areas of the state. This structure was designed to ensure broad inclusivity down to the grassroots level ahead of the upcoming electoral contests.
Governor Fintiri formally charged all members of the newly established council to maintain unity and work diligently to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress across all electoral levels during the general elections. The formation of the Adamawa State council follows closely after the party initiated its presidential campaign activities in Kaduna.
