Ahead of the upcoming 2027 presidential election, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, has stepped up efforts to back President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign. During an event in Imo State, Tompolo declared that the President has demonstrated genuine commitment to the nation and deserves a second term in office to properly establish his administration's economic policies and developmental initiatives.
Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, Tompolo marked the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Imo State by presenting a fleet of 30 vehicles. The donation is intended to bolster grassroots outreach and assist Governor Hope Uzodimma along with other local political leaders in running an effective campaign across communities.
Speaking at the gathering, Pondi highlighted Tompolo's view of the President as a dedicated leader who prioritized national interests over conventional political calculations by initiating difficult economic changes early in his tenure. Governor Uzodimma welcomed the support and echoed the sentiment that continuity is vital for the completion of ongoing federal programmes.
National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, also addressed attendees, acknowledging that current economic reforms have introduced temporary hardships while insisting they are essential for achieving long-term prosperity. Imo State APC Chairman Chief Austine Onyedebelu added that the campaign would focus on explaining policy measures directly to citizens, contrasting them with past administrations' records.
