At a well-attended gathering of stakeholders, the Paramount Ruler of the Niger Delta Communities in Northern Nigeria, Engr. Jator Abido (Sarki Ruwa), addressed members of the press, community leaders, and representatives, declaring firm support for the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike.
Speaking during the engagement, Engr. Abido stated that Niger Delta communities residing across Northern Nigeria have closely monitored the Minister’s leadership and the ongoing infrastructural transformation under his administration. He noted that the scale, visibility, and consistency of projects have not only redefined governance in the Federal Capital Territory but have also inspired confidence among Nigerians across regions.
According to him, these achievements have earned Barr. Wike the widely acknowledged title of “The Project Master,” reflecting his dedication to excellence, delivery, and national development. He emphasized that leadership anchored on results remains critical to Nigeria’s progress and long-term stability.
Engr. Abido further explained that although the communities he represents are geographically based in the North, they remain deeply rooted in their Niger Delta identity and are proud to associate with leadership that promotes unity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development. He stressed that Barr. Wike’s performance reinforces their belief in purposeful and people-oriented governance.
Declaring their position, he affirmed that the Niger Delta Communities in Northern Nigeria stand firmly with Barr. Nyesom Wike and commend his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development and national service. He also announced their collective decision to pursue strategic collaboration and engagement with his office.
He explained that such collaboration is aimed at fostering stronger relationships between their communities and the Federal Capital Territory Administration, while also creating opportunities for youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and national integration. He added that meaningful partnerships would enable their people to contribute more actively to national development and benefit from inclusive policies.
Engr. Abido used the opportunity to call on well-meaning Nigerians, particularly Niger Delta sons and daughters across the country, to continue supporting leaders who demonstrate competence, vision, and measurable impact in governance and service delivery.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Niger Delta Communities in Northern Nigeria to peace, unity, and mutual respect, noting that national cohesion can only be strengthened through dialogue, cooperation, and inclusive governance across all regions of the country.
