The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has announced plans to officially unveil the manifesto of its governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. The campaign leadership scheduled the public presentation for Friday, October 30, at a major cultural and creative arts venue in Iganmu, Lagos.

Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who serves as the Director General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council, detailed the upcoming event during a press briefing held at the campaign headquarters in Ikeja. According to the campaign organization, the unveiling event will run from mid-afternoon and will serve as the official platform for the candidate to present his vision, strategic priorities, and comprehensive development plans for the state.

Obanikoro stated that the campaign platform is fundamentally built on two core pillars: continued shared progress and broad inclusivity. He explained that shared progress involves building upon existing master plans to generate new economic opportunities without breaking administrative continuity. Meanwhile, inclusivity emphasizes that governance should leave no resident behind regardless of religious background, ethnic group, gender, or social standing.

Addressing reporters, the campaign director general noted that managing a massive urban center with an estimated population of twenty-five million residents demands careful planning and experienced leadership. He pointed to critical sectors including transportation, housing, human capital development, healthcare, security, and environmental management as vital areas requiring sustained focus from future leaders.

The campaign organization praised the developmental trajectory of Lagos across successive administrations, starting from the tenure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the terms of Babatunde Fashola, Akinwunmi Ambode, and current Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Obanikoro noted that Hamzat is well-prepared to expand on these infrastructural foundations, citing the candidate's academic background in systems process engineering, international financial sector experience, and extensive public service record as commissioner and deputy governor.

While physical attendance at the manifesto launch will be strictly by invitation due to venue capacity limits, the campaign council confirmed that proceedings will be broadcast live across major television networks and digital platforms. Officials added that the complete document will be published online for public review, allowing residents to examine the proposals and submit feedback through official party channels.
